Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and can handle a variety of floors. Choose models that permit you to choose between multiple modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Check for an app that lets you save maps, create schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of rooms and floors.

When I tested the S1, it was quick to map our downstairs, which is home to laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down stairs in a single move. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this can vary based on how much you use the mop.

The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed.

This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or refilled. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great auto vacuum and mop cleaner. It has a strong suction that can effortlessly remove dust and debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty impressive, and comes with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation when needed. Mops can also be filled at the top of the station if they are required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate small spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large space between obstacles. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.

Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt, Best Robot Vacuum and Mop and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to remove kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost.
