It struggled a bit when it came across longer-pile carpets, and there were a few large, thick messes with dried-on debris.

Like all robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box, and requires only a quick initial mapping run to get it used to your home. Once that's done, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined depending on the need. You can also design virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go areas if you don't wish the robot to touch certain items.

The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotary mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop is a great choice for homes with different types of flooring but its dependence on a Eufy brand cleaning solution (which is included in the box) can make it less flexible than other robots that let you make your own cleaning solutions.
